Spain Women´s Annual Dinner 2011

The past few days, women from Centro de Vida Cristiana Malaga worked hard and looking forward to welcome women of our different centers: Alicante, Granada and Malaga to celebrate together the: Spain Women's Annual Dinner 2011.

On this occasion we had a record attendance of 160 women, including many who came for the first time to listen to the Word of God. The main objective of this event was to receive a word of hope and communion with all and taste a delicious dinner prepared by the same sisters of CVC Malaga.

Elvira Arias of CVC Alicante brought us a word of encouragement, who shared with us a great message on "True Friendship". Taking into account 1 John 3:23-24, she spoke of the great need of every human to have a sense of belonging and having real relationships and commitment, which often is hampered by wounds, distrust, rejection, different interests and pride.

As well spoke of the ingredients that are required to have a true friendship, such as: the desire to have friends, being filled with the love of God, loyalty and permanence and investment of time. She also gave clear examples of what it means to have a friendship based on what God wants, such as: loving constantly and in a self-less way, giving guidance and even helping our friends to grow or to correct the course, providing necessary advice, giving encouragement, being loyal, sensitive and knowing our friends.

This was a Word from God for the women of Centro de Vida Cristiana of Spain, which was confirmed when several of them recognized God and pledged to change asking Him for help. We hope that this bears good fruit in the hearts of women of Centro de Vida Cristiana of Spain and produce true friends in the Lord.
